Felting for me is about experience. The felt-making process gives me a repose that is particular to this time of creating, when the soft, raw wool and silk combine with the warm water and bamboo. The rhythmic motion and incredible transformation that takes place beneath my hands has been a meditative practice for me. Each of my vessels is a container of sorts; they have been a vehicle through which I have been able to ‘contain’ myself in times of stress and provided me with a space that is entirely personal and completely my own.
