In my body of work I have explored the wonders and inherent beauty of a murmuration, where large numbers of birds fly as if they are one. I have always been intrigued by the mysterious movements of birds as they flock together, creating dynamic formations, dancing through the sky. My intent was to represent this beauty within my work, using the key traits of a murmuration. From research and personal observations I discovered that these traits were the shadows projected, the ever-changing formations, and the powerful force of thousands of birds coming together as what seems to be one organism.
