Rhoda Tjitayi was born in 1969 in Pukatja (formerly Ernabella), Aṉangu Pitjantjatjara Yankunytjatjara (APY) Lands in South Australia. Her grandfather was from Nyapari and her grandmother from Makiri, Tjala Minyma Ngura (Honeyant Women’s sacred place). She is now based in Adelaide and began working at the APY Adelaide Studio in 2019. Her works depict Piltati Tjukurpa, her grandmother’s ancestral creation story.
