Raine Liu Ballarat farmer

Having moved from cosmopolitan Sydney to the regional Victorian city of Ballarat, I have experienced a tree-change lifestyle in the last two years. Sovereign Hill takes me back to the olden days and City Central has some nationally significant heritage structures. The farmland stretches as far as the eye can see. I see more farmers in this part of Australia. My drawing is devoted to an everyday farmer – the true blue Aussie larrikin, the backbone of our nation.
