Make it May is an inspiring series of community-minded events at the Art Gallery of New South Wales highlighting connection and imagination.

On Saturday 25 May, a performance and tactile workshop will be audio described for visitors who are blind or vision impaired.

Join us at 1pm for Ants by Polygot Theatre, an interactive performance designed for children aged 2–10 years with their families. We will begin with an introduction and an opportunity to make your own ant antennas, and touch and handle elements featured in the performance, before the performance starts at 1.30pm.

Then at 2pm move to Rainbow Rock Mountain, an art-making project in which you’ll collaborate with artist Rosie Deacon on a sculptural installation that grows over time.

This audio-described event – along with Ants and Rainbow Rock Mountain – is part of the Art Gallery of New South Wales program Make it May
