Hear artist Wendy Sharpe talk about the artistic process and her exhibition Spellbound at the Art Gallery of New South Wales – a sumptuous journey into the nature of creativity.

Take a peak behind the curtain at some of the ideas behind the imagery she uses, and explore how we, as viewers, create our own narratives.

Sharpe is one of Australia’s most acclaimed artists. Over the past four decades, she has held over 70 solo exhibitions and won numerous prizes, including the Archibald Prize, Sulman Prize and Portia Geach Memorial Award. In 1999, she became the first woman since the Second World War to be appointed an official war artist by the Australian War Memorial. In 2023 she was appointed a Member of the Order of Australia for significant service to the visual arts and to the community.
