This major retrospective from the National Gallery of Victoria – featuring a number of significant works from the Art Gallery of NSW’s own collection – pays tribute to the renowned Tiwi artist Kitty Kantilla (Kutuwalumi Purawarrumpatu).

It highlights her extraordinary artistic vision over the last decades of the 20th century, from works on paper and canvas to bark paintings and sculptures, which brought her distinctive island culture to a national audience.
